Education and Training

Eli attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2010-2014) earning degrees in Political Science and Environmental Studies. Eli is in the final stages of his Master’s degree (M.S.) in Education, Clinical Mental Health at UW-Superior, to become a licensed professional counselor (LPC).

 

He has experience and training in mindfulness, meditation, martial arts, nonviolent conflict resolution and prevention, group process, group facilitation, and restorative practice circles.

Special Interests

His clinical interests continue to evolve; his current areas of emphasis and interest include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Care, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, and Behavioral Neuroscience.

Professional Affiliations

Eli is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Psychology Association.  

Eli strongly believes in the therapeutic alliance and process—choosing the counseling field because of his own positive life changing therapeutic process and journey. Eli believes in Person-Centered, Strength-Based, and Solution-Focused care. He is working under the direct supervision of clinic director Susan Townsley and will continue his professional path at Stonehouse Counseling in the upcoming years.
