David Dati, LMFT, LCSW
David is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience providing a variety of mental health services in both rural and urban settings. His passion is in witnessing people further their connections to themselves, others, and their world as a means of alleviating their struggles and suffering. To foster these connections, David uses evidenced based practices within a “systems” philosophy to address a wide variety of issues. He has a special interest in couples therapy, men’s issues, chronic illness, working with domestic violence and anger issues, as well as depression and anxiety. David has a background in pastoral care and secondary education and is respectful of people’s religious traditions.
Education and Training
David obtained his Bachelor’s degree in theology (B.A.) from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and his Master’s of social work degree (M.S.W.), with a focus on marriage and family therapy, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received postgraduate training in marriage and family therapy for two years and completed a two-year training program in Internal Family Systems.
David is a Clinical Fellow in the American Associating for Marriage and Family Therapy, and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
